Dear [Manager’s Name],
I kindly seek your approval to attend the Australian International Education Conference (AIEC) 2016 - Australia’s largest gathering of international education professionals - which is taking place from 18 to 21 October 2016, in Melbourne, Australia.
The conference will give me a chance to connect with over 1200 professionals in international education, such as international education practitioners, teaching staff, researchers, policy makers and other stakeholders. Plus, I’ll gain unique perspectives from business experts and thought leaders from the leading organisations and associations about the future of international education.
Three full days of the conference are dedicated to keynotes, breakout sessions, and multiple tracks of programming on which to focus my attention. With speakers talking on important topics such as [click here and insert topics] among other, I know I will be able to apply my learnings when I return from the conference. Here is the preliminary schedule.
I look forward to meeting industry leaders with whom I can learn and network during the multiple networking and social events.
I’ll also have the chance to meet with a number of international education providers who will be showcasing their solutions at the AIEC exhibition, meaning I can come back with even more ideas of how we can be more efficient and effective.
I’ve broken down the approximate cost of my attendance from Tuesday to Friday below:
Ground transfers: $xxx
Upon my return from AIEC 2016, I will share key takeaways, including those that we can implement immediately to maximise our processes, improve our international education strategy and contribute to our staff’s ongoing professional development.
The AIEC has negotiated a great rate at a number of hotels near the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, and special early bird discounts are available if I register before the 19 August 2016.
Thanking you in advance for your consideration of this request, I look forward to hearing from you soon.
